Heading to the Studio

OCCIDIS is cashing in our Battle of the Bands prize and will be heading into the studio starting April 4th. We are excited to get our new songs recorded so we can share them with our fans. We will get tracks posted online as soon as we have them.

Design the next OCCIDIS Tee

Hey OCCIDIS fans!

How would you like to design and win your own free OCCIDIS tee shirt? Now through March 31, we will be accepting original artwork that we will use to print on a limited run of band tee shirts.

Rules:
>Artwork may be done by hand or computer but must be original. No copy-righted images.
>Artwork is to be a single color.
>Images are to be clean (meaning no stray pencil marks, erase lines, etc), ready to print images.

You may enter as many times as you like.

To enter: email your images to OCCIDISband@gmail.com, label your email "Shirt" & include your contact information (name, email, phone number, etc).

We will be accepting artwork until March 31, 2009 at which time the band will pick their favorite designs and post them for voting until April 15th. The shirt with the most votes will win and will be printed on a limited run of OCCIDIS shirts.

Winner will receive a free shirt and 2 free tickets to the next OCCIDIS show.

Battle of the Bands Finals Results & Updates

Hey OCCIDIS friends, family and fans!

Thanks to all of those amazing people out there that have shown their support for us, OCCIDIS once again had incredible ticket sales and was able to headline at tonights Gorilla Productions Battle of the Bands Finals.

Thanks to everyone that came to see us and screamed as loud as they could, OCCIDIS WON!!!! We couldn't have done it without all of you and we appreciate everyone that helped us out by buying tickets, spreading the word about us, coming to see us, talking to us, etc. We really are only winners because you made us be. Thank you all!

It was a great show tonight and we were fortunate to play with a lot of talented musicians. It was great to see what amazing talent there is in Salt Lake and to get to socialize with other musician. Every band that performed tonight did an incredible job! We look forward to seeing more from all of the bands and maybe working with some of them in the future.

OCCIDIS would also like to thank Gorilla Productions, especially John and David for setting up the show and working with us. They have been great to work with. And thanks to the Avalon for providing the venue and putting up with us. We appreciate it.

Since we competed in the Battle of the Bands, Gorilla Music is entering our band in an online voting competition for one of two prizes: 1st being a $25,000 contract and 2nd being a 25 city North American tour. New MySpace

After 5 months of trying to fix our MySpace account so we can log onto it and not getting anywhere, we've decided it would be easier to just make a new account. So check out our new MySpace at http://www.myspace.com/OCCIDISband.

Gorilla Productions Battle of the Bands Finals

Gorilla Productions has finally scheduled the finals round for Battle of the Bands. OCCIDIS took it all in the preliminary rounds because our fans support. Come show us your support again and help us show Salt Lake how hard we rock!

The winner is based on ticket sales and crowd reaction so it really is up to you who wins and who loses.

Tickets are $10 in advance from any of the band members or $12 at the door the day of. Anyone who buys 5 or more tickets will get free OCCIDIS merchandise.

Bad News

Our MySpace page still is not up and running for us. We'll probably have it all fixed next week. You can still check out the page but we are not able to log on and check comments or emails right now.

Our November 1st show isn't looking too great right now. The Outer Rim cancelled our show. We are looking into switching venues and still playing that night but nothing is set at the moment. We'll hopefully have that all figured out in the next couple days and we'll be sure to update you as soon as we know what's going on with that.

Updates

Last nights practice went extremely well. We decided on our set list for the November 1st show at the Outer Rim and think that it's going to be a great show.

Massacre at the Wake, A Balance of Power, Of What May Come, Six Guns Beyond Denmark, 30min One Just Dropped out.
